Hormone Therapy (injections)

Before treatment of any kind starts .. read as much Information as you can .. take each treatment phase a day at a time as there’s loads of waiting for apts etc and during chemo there’s a three week wait .. it’s soul destroying

Please tell us how their treatment impacted your life the most.

The impact of the actual diagnosis of cancer and how the treatment and outcome would end !! The most important thing that has impacted on my life has been due to the treatment we haven’t been intimate for over a year and I feel this has been the worse thing ever .. it’s soul destroying .. depressing and sad

Thinking about your own wellbeing, what has helped you to cope, and where have you gone to find support? What tips and advice would you give to others?

Having my family (two grown up daughters) were really supportive .. some close friends also .. I joined an online group for partners and wife’s of prostate cancer .. that was amazing as you could ask questions or just have a general moan to like minded people .. also some were at the same stage or just starting their journeys also some were at the end .. was surprised at the different age range as well
