Radiotherapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The treatment itself did not really create the side effects but possibly made some of the symptoms I already had worse. I felt a sailed through the radiotherapy with very little physical or emotional impact.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

No pain or discomfort from the treatment and no real increase in the symptoms I already had but some positive outcome

Hormone Therapy (injections and relugolix tablets)

Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

Wear pant liners and keep aware of where the toilets are where ever you go.

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

I learned too late that this treatment was effectively like a chemical castration - I think I should have been told this before the treatment started and offered counselling and options before undertaking it

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

I found the fatigue to be the most difficult to deal with and the loss of energy - try to stay active if you can

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

Stay positive and count your belssings

How this treatment impacted my life the most

It diminished me as a man

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

In the words of Paul McArtney " I'm not half the man I used to be!"
