Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I would like others to know that the brachytherapy treatment meant that the very next day I was able to go back to pushing my 16 stone late wife in a wheelchair. I put off treatment originally because I thought it would interfere with my role as a carer. If only I'd had better advice I wouldn't have put the brachytherapy off. As it is the brachytherapy killed off the cancer in the prostate, but it had already spread elsewhere. The cancer is currently in remission thanks to two types of hormone therapy (Prostrap injections and Abiaterone tablets)

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Because it was minimally invasive and meant I could go back to my normal activities the following day
