Hormone Therapy (injections and relugolix tablets)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Just dont give up hope and always try to stay positive

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

I found the hot flushes to be the worst part especially at night where it would wake me up on the hour every hour. I would then have to take my blanket off for a few minutes and then i would get to cold. This was repeated every tiring night due to me being treated with hormone injections

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

There are no tips i can give except say things will get better as time goes on

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I am on hormone treatment as they thought i was stage t3b but was downgraded to t2c. This was the hard bit for me the loss of my sex drive and putting on weight. I then had to drive for radiothearapy clocking up two and a half thhousand miles in four weeks due to the distance from my house to the hospital. I was pretty tired but luckily could share the driving with my wife.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

I thought radiotherapy would be less intrusive and the surgeon said he would not do any nerve sparing so i went along with radiotherapy. If i would have had the surgery it would have given me a definitive answer about my staging and i would now be hormone free. So i would think about it more now to be honest
