Hormone Therapy (injections and relugolix tablets)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

i was told by my practice nurse there was a possibly this could happen with the hormone injection he gave me, but being diagnosed with cancer cancer was far worse and put things into perspective. after about a year i was back to normal again.

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

well, having hot sweats certainly made me realise how uncomfortable it is for women going through the change, as my partner often reminded me of. but all the the changes to my body i had, have gone now , and my life is good again. the most important thing is to be guided by your medical staff. they really are fantastic.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

being diagnosed with cancer is something i’m sure we have all thought of, and wondered, how would i deal with that. it sure was a hammer blow to me, but the help and assurance i got from the team of people right throughout the hospitals i attended was great, and really helped me a lot with my emotions.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

it certainly puts life into perspective. it reminded me that life isn’t for ever, to prioritise family and friends over ‘ things’ and make ever day count

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

i would choose the same treatment again. firstly, because it worked, and secondly because i was advised to choose this treatment by the consultant. why would i not follow his recommendations.
