Hormone Therapy (tablets)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

I do not miss having sex, my wife and I enjoy being close and having kisses and cuddles, but no sex.

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

The hot sweats are a bit uncomfortable, but do not prevent me having a full life and a great trade off against the effects that the cancer was having on me (hip and leg pain with limited mobility).

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The main impact of this treatment is that it removed the severe pain that I was suffering in my hips and legs. There has been little adverse impact on me. Before the treatment I had to stop my hobby as a gliding flying instructor, but within a few weeks of going on the treatment I was feeling well and passed the tests to allow me back to instructing again, I was a happy bunny!

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

It has transformed my quality of life, removed my pain (although I take low level painkillers regularly) and allowed me to return to gliding as an instructor.
