Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Nhs provided penis pump which helped. Husband very understanding and we continued having a one sided relationship. Over time my erections reappeared after finding the flow of water from the shower head had an effect on my penis. Eventually two years on I am now able to get an erection easily and have dry climaxes.

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

After two years I notice my body hair is returning slowly. The hot sweats have recently stopped, thank goodness. Everything else is starting to dissipate and life is much more as it was before the radiotherapy.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

My husband has been so supportive. Often I would suddenly turn on him and shout, stomp out of the room for no reason. I have been difficult to live with at times I know but he has been super human. My energy , memory and energy are not know as bad as they have been and this week I have been out and purchased new clothes for the new me. Need to get on and enjoy my life, I have been given a chance to live again and I need to do that. Positivity returns.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Wondering what the outcome would be and getting up at five am every morning to be at the treatment room for quarter to eight.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The hospital and staff were so supportive, friendly and knowledgable. The treatment did not hurt and each treatment took very little time even though it was for four weeks. The treatment would seem to have dealt with the cancer very well. The problems occurring afterwards have been dealt with by hospital follow ups on the phone and person to person. I have had some wonderful nurses and doctors on my journey and we have tackled all my problems together.
