High Dose Rate Brachytherapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I was constantly tired and had lost a lot of "get up and do something".

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I had prostate cancer in 2014 and the 38 treatments I had  over 7 and a half weeks lasted until 2017 when my PSA rose sharply. I was directed to another hospital in the London where I had targeted Brachytherapy in 2017 which has lasted until 2025/6 when my PSA rose again. I am now back with my local hospital where I am doing "watchful waiting" to see how my PSA rises in the near future. I am advised that further treatment would be Hormone related which is not clever, so watchful waiting is the way forward. I am 84 years old and I have a "strength of piddling" test into a funnel, a PSA test and a urine test booked for December and am seeing a consultant in January '27.
