When fiest told about the 'C' word. If only an alternative one can be found for cancer. It just made me feel lost and hopeless. I am due to be considered for actual treatment

Why did I give this answer?

I knew little about why this happened to me as there is no family history. It was only revealed when I answered a call for PSA check. I had to join a support group called Prostate Buddies (Dumfries) to relieve my anxiety and educate myself about their individual experiences which have given me confidence. Talking to real people stopped me from the overload of reading so much stuff about prostate cancer. PB needs to be recognised for what they do freely for anyone.
