I'm not interested in sex anymore, my erect penis is a lot smaller, but I don't know if this is due to 12months Hormone therapy. My testosterone levels still haven't returned 16months after last injection...I can't/ won't I've tried to use a vacuum pump unsuccessfully. I believe I'm learning to live without sex.
I'm happy with High dose rate brachytherapy, I don’t think it caused my side effects. The side effects I believe were from the external beam and Hormone treatment, AND lack of erections during treatment leads to loss of erectile tissue..Erections need to be maintained during treatment!!

I was told all options were possible, including active surveillance, which I chose...meanwhile I discovered High Intensity Ultrasound Focal therapy, but I was unsuitable for it . After second opinion suggested treatment necessary I chose brachytherapy, to be told HDR plus external beam was my option. I'm very happy with the HDR but not effects of Hormone therapy.
