Hormone Therapy (injections and relugolix tablets)

Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

Speak to your Oncology Specialist if side effects are bothersome, as medication may be provided to ease the situation.

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

Do try to push through fatigue by getting some excercise, especially using weights. Muscle loss may be experienced, and so weight training can offset the problem. Keep hydrated!

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I was able to maintain a positive sense of well being by getting exercise. Speaking to a close confidente may be useful in having someone listen to your concerns or feelings. However, any worries about the disease, treatments, or side effects, should be addressed to your Specialist.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The hormone therapy and radiology treatments were combined to deal with my cancer. Any side effects were quickly addressed by the Radiology Team or Specialist, all of whom exbited a great deal of empathy and professionalism.
