Hormone Therapy (injections and relugolix tablets)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

I would rather lose sexual activity than my life.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I would rather eradicate the cancer than live with the worry about having it in my body. As it happens the prostatectomy was too late and the cancer had become locally advanced so that further ongoing treatments have been and are necessary.

Radiotherapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Totally stopped life for months exacerbated by the travel problems to/from the hospital. Each trip in total was 4/5 hours including travel.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Life is better than the alternative. The short term problems should be worth it in the long term.

Hormone Therapy (tablets)

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

Living with the side effects is better than the alternative. Do what you can when you can and do not be afraid to give in to a rest etc when necessary. Let friends and family know the problems so they can make allowances for your situation.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Life has become cyclical around the quarterly injections.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

There is no alternative but death and life is too precious to lose for manageable although debilitating symptoms
