My adult children have ceased contact since my diagnosis. I wish now I hadn’t told them my diagnosis and prognosis.

Disturbed my sex life, weight gain, hair loss.

Both my parents are still alive and I don’t want to die before them.

Can’t give any advice on this as I’m single.

Get some skin moisturiser as my skin gets very dry now.

My only support I get is from Macmillan Cancer Care, they have been very helpful.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Emotionally/mentally, don’t think I’ll ever feel the same again, relationships are so important to us and to be on your own at a time like this is very difficult.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Both my parents are still alive and I don’t want to die before them!

I’m not taking this medication any longer, my cancer is being managed by Prostap injections only.

Now that I’ve stopped this treatment my health has improved and my cancer is under control, my PSA is 0.07

Since I stopped this medication I feel a lot more positive and feel human again.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

It’s impacted my relationship with my children the most, they have cancelled me out because I’ve been unable to keep in touch with them.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

No

Why did I give this answer?

As already mentioned, since I stopped taking it my mind is in a better place, my cancer is under control and I’m going to the gym and losing weight and getting fit again. This medication has had a lot of negative effect on my overall health and well-being .
