Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

I had help from the NHS ED service and was prescribed VIAGRA . Taking this regularly helped maintain sexual function. I had to overcome a lack of libido and with support from my partner I was able to maintain sexual activity throughout my treatment . My libido and spontaneity has improved incrementally since I have stopped ADT ( hormone therapy) .

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

Maintaining regular exercise regime helped to mitigate all side effects of treatment and boosted my emotional wellbeing. Walking and cycling and generally being outdoors.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

Maintaining a consistent range of activities on a daily basis helped enormously.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The hormone treatment had the most sustained impact on my sense of wellbeing and emotional happiness. I was on ADT for almost 3 years and it had a significant detrimental impact on me.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I am not aware that any other effective treatments were …or would be available for my stage of disease. The 6 cycles of Chemotherapy were manageable and I seemed to tolerate this treatment ok. I had 37 cycles of radiology which became increasingly exhausting towards the end .
