Phil's Story
Good to have support - mine was from my family
This treatment followed chemo and was based on the STAMPEDE trial results. It was early on in my treatment cycle (I've had 2 more courses of radiotherapy since and 1 more course of chemo). Impact was minimal at this stage.
Yes
As it was early in the treatment cycle, impact was minimal
Chemo was delivered shortly after being diagnosed. Impact was minimal. I had a second course of chemo in 2023 (5 years later). Impact was greater with second course as I was less fit, etc. and the fatigue was greater
Yes
Any treatment that may reduce the cancer in my view was worth having.

Fatigue was the biggest problem as I'd been really active. I'm still very active but find I almost have to force myself to do activities. But....... need to keep going and be positive
The side effects weren't meant to be that bad but I found I suffered quite a bit, fatigue mainly and only managed to complete 4 of the 6 sessions
Yes
I think I got some benefit from the treatment
The Enzalutimide worked really well and kept the PSA down for quite a while.
Yes
Treatment worked well
