Originally I had chosen brachytherapy but was told by a by an oncologist friend about stereotactic radiotherapy which was not available on the NHS so I went privately and was treated at the Royal Marsden using a cyberknife machine. The treatment was completed over five consecutive days and that was all that was required. Very straightforward and no requirement to be put under general anaesthetic which would have been needed for brachytherapy.
