Tom's Story
Obviously, attending hospital 5 days a week for radiotherapy was a bit disruptive. Also, partly because of enlarged prostate and partly because of the treatment, I’ve had to deal with intermittent self catheterisation. This is not so much disruptive as inconvenient. You just need to think ahead and make sure you’re in range of a toilet w when you need it. At first this limited where and when I went out, but quickly I got used to it and I’m now back to international travel.
Yes
I wasn’t actually given any choice in the treatment but the side effects of radiotherapy were fairly easily managed. The treatment itself is painless and the support from the radiographers was first class.
