Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

It is difficult to give advice. This was one of the biggest issues that I had post surgery.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

It is difficult to put out of your mind a poor body image and feeling inadequate. However I did quite a bit of gym work to gain confidence

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The main impacy was confidence and sexual activity. The loss of size to my penis was embarrassing. My wife and I grew apart somewhat due to not being able to have a physical relationship.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

No

Why did I give this answer?

I believe if I had opted for and had been better advised about active monitoring my sense of esteem and my sex life would have been greatky improved.
