It brings a lot of things into perspective of what is really important in your life. There will be ups and down and good days and bad days buts it's important to remember it's a journey that you are not taking alone and seeking support is not a weakness.
The positive impact is that 7 years and counting I'm still alive in good health and cancer free. Negative impacts are ED to a certain extent and I took an early retirement because of being unable to carry on working In my chosen field.

With what was available at the time of diagnosis I have no regrets at my chosen treatment. There are more options now so if I was diagnosed today I might have chosen a different route.
