Focal Therapy

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

The side effects suffered following my HIFU treatment were all temporary and after a couple of months all disappeared (apart from dry orgasms).

How this treatment impacted my life the most

This treatment actually saved my life! For those lucky enough to have an early diagnosis I wouldn't hesitate to check it out. I am now cancer free and living a perfectly normal life and at the ripe old age of 65 still have a fantastic sex life.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

To help others that have found themselves in the same situation that I was in 3 years ago and to let them know that for some, there can in fact be light at the end of the tunnel. Don't just accept the options that you are given by the NHS as there are alternatives and they do work!
