Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

You need to speak to the hospital to get a pump to help penile rehabilitation/erectile dysfunction. Pelvic floor exercises will help with any incontinence experienced post-operation.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I am an active cyclist and it took a long time before I could comfortable get back to cycling. Having flow long-haul I also experienced very bad swelling in my legs and feet which is probably due to the fact that my lymph nodes were also removed

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

My view was that I would rather have the cancer out if possible. Also if the operation was not a success it still gave me the additional option of alternative treatments whereas option for RT first would probably mean removal was not an option.
