Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Advised a possible risk of surgery

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Impact most in immediate aftermath of operation. I had laparoscopic prostatectomy. Two months later returned to normal apart from regular PSA testing. The PSA result has slowly increased with time. Currently 0.23 after Approx 8 years. Recent MRI scan as suspected that Prostate not completely removed. No adverse effects reported.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

Understood Surgery could eliminate my cancer problem.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

In 2006 Had recently retired and had benefited from annual PSA as part of private medical check. Asked GP for continuing annual PSA testing but met with resistance and discouragement. After a year or so, I noted blood in my semen and only then did GP refer me to Urology for PSA testing. After a period of a year or so watching and testing, I was advised of Prostate Cancer and elected Surgery without fully understanding anvailable alternatives. I have two close friends who have had successful robotic surgery.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

As above.
