Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Get doing the pelvic floor exercises. Use a vacuum pump regularly. Keep trying ED medicine until you find one that works

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Sexual function

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Radical prostatectomy removes the cancer in one go. Luckily its hadn't spread and I was fit enough for this procedure (69). However, although I had no symptoms I was unable to get a PSA test due to Covid (and I had no symptoms). I had to pretend to a new nurse at my GP surgery that I was having regular PSA tests, which she then gave me and it came back positive in a few days.
