Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Prostate, glands and nerves removed. Hence can't have sex anymore.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

I never had any treatment ...the depression, I guess I had prior to diagnosis. I was diagnosed as having kidney cancer which when being checked found I prostate cancer and bladder cancer. I must add that I was checked for prostate cancer as I had enlarged prostate but told I was clear. That was after being told I had kidney cancer.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I did not have any treatment, I have answered the questions after operations. I had to have surgery. Prostate..bladder removed along with glands and nerves. I had a cancer growth on my right kidney frozen after the other operations. It became secondary.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

I never had any treatment hence I cant answer some questions. What I can say is that, problems with my prostate was identified (enlarged) many years ago. When kidney cancer was identified, I had day surgery to check my prostate and was given the all clear. Months later as I have mentioned I lost my bladder...prostate...glands and nerves. You can guess my thoughts on that.
