How this treatment impacted my life the most

Removal of my cancerous prostate early days was very restrictive obviously, BUT longer term no problem really, its just that this procedure over a short period has been no problem BUT has, in my opinion, aggravated my on going bowel problems as I had Bowel Cancer in 2017 and had a section of my bowel removed in a 9 hour life saving operation, and after a further 18 months I had my Stoma bag removed, and some ongoing concerns regarding toileting functionality, It seems that I may have to have further surgery to correct this situation, Lower Anterior Resection Surgery (LARS) may be required, I am just awaiting confirmation of this from Colo- Rectal Dept, tho this is still early days post Prostate Removal as recently as of 10th March 2023. All in all, I have life which is the main thing, and I am more than most thankful to all medical staff involved in my various treatments BUT my quality of life still requires fine tuning to achieve a trouble free life style as is physically possible given my history! My advice: Whenever you think something is wrong and out-with your normal, do NOT hesitate to get checked at your doctor for early screening, ok! I kept phoning and knocking on doors and if you are not happy keep at them until you feel you are being listened to, I did and thankfully I did and I still have life as a consequence.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The quickest route for a positive result to rid my body of cancer was the complete removal of my Prostate with all its risks, I did not hesitate for one minute and am still here, 🙏
